James Boxley, Athletic Director

 

James Boxley serves as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Wills Point ISD, a role he assumed in February 2023. He joined Tiger Athletics in the fall of 2022 as Head Baseball Coach after concluding a highly successful 28‑year coaching career in Texas high school football and baseball, which included a 2012 3A Division I State Football Championship at Stephenville High School .

With 29 years of coaching experience, Coach Boxley also brings collegiate athletic experience as a former baseball player at the University of Southern Mississippi. His deep ties to Wills Point, both professionally and personally, have helped him revitalize the program with a focus on academic excellence, strong community partnerships, and character-driven student-athlete development.

Jeff Lester, Assistant Athletic Director

 

Jeff Lester serves as the Assistant Athletic Director, Girls Coordinator, and Track & Field Coordinator for Wills Point ISD. A graduate of Abilene Christian University, Jeff earned his degree in Biology while competing as a member of ACU’s Track and Field team.

With 24 years of coaching experience, Jeff has dedicated his career to developing student-athletes both on and off the field, with a strong focus on leadership, character, and academic success. He and his wife, Bobbie Lester, who serves as Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track Coach, share a deep passion for athletics and family—they are proud parents to nine children.

Jeff continues to build competitive programs while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence for girls’ athletics at Wills Point ISD.
