Hello, WPHS Tigers! 

I’m Dr. Jennifer Atkinson, a proud East Texas native and U.S. Army veteran. I joined WPHS in 2023 as an Instructional Coach, and I'm thrilled to start my third year here as your Associate Principal!

With thirteen years in education, I’ve had the privilege of working as a middle school teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, and principal across several school districts in Central Texas, Naval Base Guam, and Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.

My passion lies in building positive relationships within our school community, supporting our students as they grow, and working with our amazing faculty and staff to achieve their best. I also believe in the power of meaningful parent involvement to enhance our school environment.

Outside of school, I’m married to Army Major (Retired) Tim Atkinson. We have been married for 34 years. Together, we enjoy spending time with our two children Colin & Amanda, our son-in-law, Trevor, our adorable 15-month-old grandson, Theo, our Cavapoo, Lulu and our Great Pyrenees, Nanna. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
