Wills Point FFA Wins Big At Ag Mechanics Show

With over 400 enteries in the Houston livestock show Ag Mechanics show the Wills Point FFA Ag Mechanics  did an outstanding job. In class 13 Feeders Hector herrera and Danny Sanchex won 4th place out of 22 enteries. In Class ! the Hydraulic hay spear exhibited by Devin Boswell, Cody Rowland and Nathan Lewis won 3rd place out of 25 entries. In Class 9- gate entries Wills Point won 1st place overall. The entry gate was shown by Ryan Stone, Clint Hubbard, John Monning and Cole Pendleton. The entrance will be placed at the front of the FFA project center in the near future and they invite everyone to please come and see it. The Ag mechanics team also won 3rd place overall in Showmanship with over 1,000 other competitors. The FFA invites everyone out to see their projects April 10-12 at the Van Zandt County Fair in Canton, Tx.


Sophomore and junior students that are planning on taking dual credit courses this summer or in the fall will need to take the THEA test. TVCC will be on campus, Monday, April 15th giving the test. Cost is $39. Students will need to sign up with Ms. Boyd in the counseling office no later than Monday, April 8th.

**AP TESTING INFORMATION**

The deadline to order AP tests is March 8th. In order to reserve a test, students must sign up with Ms. Boyd  (in the counseling office) and pay a deposit of $13 (they can choose to pay the full test amount which is $89/test) All money must be to Ms. Boyd  by April 1st.

*Students that qualify for free or reduced lunch, may be eligible for a fee waiver, see Ms. Boyd for details

Our school district is excited to announce the launch of a new online service* that will allow you to monitor your children's lunchtime purchases, track what your children have been eating for the past 30 days, make deposits directly into their meal accounts, and have an email reminder sent to you when an account balance gets low. Student debit account deposits can be made through ACH payments or by credit card. Each child's account will be updated nightly so that account balance information and payments will be current as of the following day.

Khan Academy is a website of resources available to anyone. They have a large video library and practice exercises that cover K-12 math and sciences. Videos are only about 10 minutes long with information about specific topics. Exercises allow for individual pace and provide hints. Please click on the link to view the website Khan Academy
